Le Martagon between St-Julien-en-Vercors and La-Chapelle-en-Vercors, in the Vercors mountains and Regional Nature park, is ideally located for mountain activities in both summer and winter. In elevated position some way outside village, the gîte has wonderful views of the cliffs of the Vercors High Plateaus. Outdoor sports activities: walking/hiking, snowshoeing, cycling, skiing – near waymarked trails, facing the 'Vierge du Vercors' (rock formation). Herbouilly Nordic ski resort (15 min.), Villard-de-Lans (30 min.). Admire the 'Roche rousse' (jumping off point for paragliders). Be sure to sample some of the local cheese (Bleu de Vercors) and other regional specialities available in shops at St-Martin-en-Vercors. Tobogganing all year round, downhill skiing at Le Col du Rousset. Via Corda (assisted rock climbing) open to experienced climbers.
Old family farm fully renovated and tastefully converted into 4 gîtes. Le Martagon on 1st floor, entrance shared with another gîte. Living room with dining area, kitchen, access to balcony. Bedroom (double bed), shower room, separate WC. Outdoor area shared with 3 other gîtes.
